A couple of hundred years ago, Benjamin Franklin shared with the world the secret of his success. Never leave that till tomorrow, he said, which you can do today. This is the man who discovered electricity. You think more people would listen to what he had to say. I don’t know why we put things off, but if I had to guess, I’d have to say it has a lot to do with fear. Fear of failure, fear of rejection, sometimes the fear is just of making a decision, because what if you’re wrong? What if you’re making a mistake you can’t undo? The early bird catches the worm. A stitch in time saves nine. He who hesitates is lost. We can’t pretend we hadn’t been told. We’ve all heard the proverbs, heard the philosophers, heard our grandparents warning us about wasted time, heard the damn poets urging us to seize the day. Still sometimes we have to see for ourselves. We have to make our own mistakes. We have to learn our own lessons. We have to sweep today’s possibility under tomorrow’s rug until we can’t anymore. Until we finally understand for ourselves what Benjamin Franklin really meant. I thought I would be frustrated or depressed, but I am not. Instead, I feel peace in heart.

I thought I would feel lost, but I am not. To my surprise, I’m quite clear about what I’m supposed to do.

Is there anything wrong with me? Or just because I have changed a lot? Maybe that’s the way an adult deal with things, which means…… I grew up.

Should I celebrate for this or should I feel sad?

Dark Night of The Soul is a beautiful piano solo played by Philip Wesley.  There is another song that I like even more in this collection. It’s The Approaching Night. Both of them are related to DARK NIGHT. No matter you are approaching or in the dark night, you are feeling loneliness and desolation. In our spiritual lives, dark night of the soul is unavoidable. However, how should we deal with those dark feelings? Tell someone, or hide into heart? They’re just hard to tell and hard to hide……

好像很久没有上来记录心情的痕迹了。看到梦舒的《感恩日记》，突然有点感觉想来写点什么东西。于是一个人，静静地坐在楼下的黑暗中，慢慢地寻找那种感觉。不自主地问自己，为什么是看到感恩二字而有所触动呢？再次静下心来，闭上眼睛，想切实地体会那种感觉：充实，满足，感恩。

 

充实。有人说，生活因为忙碌而充实。我并不认可，因为忙碌可以分为很多种，并且忙碌的目的也不尽相同。的确最近很忙，工作占据了很多时间，但那并不是充实的原因。不过，也并不是说我灵里高昂，被圣灵充满。只是因为生活中多了一些重要的事情和人，当然我所说的是与教会有关的 ：）心里不再有很多时候是空虚的，脑海中时常会出现他们的笑脸，想起他们的歌声和吉他声。哦，还有我们一起打篮球的情形（我知道很难想象，就Ellen的经典语录来说，Emma只要一拿到球，全场freeze，因为不准防女生，人家还真进球呢，狂笑中）。以前空虚的时间，现在用来预备和Daniel的读经，安排主日青少年的诗歌，计划暑假大家一起去踏青。

  

圣经中有说“施比受更有福”。与其他服侍的人有同样的感受，我们被带领到这样的服侍中，因为主要让我们体会他更多的丰富与更大的恩典。我内心中的满足，源于他时常与我同在。在服侍的过程中，我得着他自己。

 

 

愿一切的负担和服侍不是出于己，乃是出于神。因他才是那道路。走在他的道路上，会常有圣灵的扶持和加力，也常有神的恩典与祝福。
